To boost the entrepreneurial skills of women in the Covid-19 era

The European Erasmus + ATHENA Project “Improving digital tools and methods to boost the entrepreneurial skills of women in the Covid-19 era” has been developed by the Spanish National Agency for Youth (INJUVE).

The project is funded by the European Union and involves nine European organizations from Spain, Italy, Finland, Belgium, Cyprus, Lithuania, Ireland, Slovenia and Poland committed to cooperating for 24 months to improve their working methodologies with young people, explore new European good practices and develop new intellectual outputs and working methodologies that they will adapt in their own territory and in others in terms of promoting youth female entrepreneurship.

Objectives and methodology

The project has been articulated into specific goals:

  • Improve youth work methodologies with respect to the promotion of young women’s entrepreneurship, specifically by introducing strategies adapted to COVID-19.

  • Raise awareness and knowledge among youth workers and decision-makers about new strategies adapted to COVID-19 to promote young women’s entrepreneurship.

  • Compare situations in different European countries and exchange knowledge and experiences between partner countries.

  • Gather best practices adapted to COVID-19 in the field of supporting young women’s entrepreneurship.

  • Produce sustainable and adaptable knowledge to be implemented and tested in other European realities.

  • Promote new strategies adapted to COVID-19 to be adapted to youth work policies and initiatives across Europe. “ATHENA” will work to prepare young workers to be ready to use/organize innovative initiatives, adapted to this new world, to promote and support youth entrepreneurship, also taking into account the other main current EU challenges such as the Green Transition, Digitalization and the 2030 Global Agenda.
